Located close to the Old Bridge on Naberezhnaya Afanasia Nikitina (Afanasi Nikitin Embankment) is a small monument to submariners which was unveiled in 2010. The monument consists of a statue depicting a submariner supporting his injured comrade on top of a marble pedestal with an inscription. Surrounding the monument are torpedoes and mines.
