Plyos

Plyos is a Historical City of Russia and also often included on the list of Golden Ring Cities.  It is closely associated with the artist Isaak Levitan, who has several paintings featuring scenes of the city's picturesque embankment along the Volga. The city has no railway station of its own, but can easily be visited by bus from Ivanovo.
