Uglich

In Russian history Uglich is famous for being the scene of the mysterious death of Tsarevich Dmitry, the young son of Tsar Ivan the Terrible, presumably on the orders of Boris Godunov. Several of the main sights in the city are connected with this event. It is easy to visit Uglich from Yaroslavl and it can be combined with a trip to Myshkin.
