Tver Regional Museum (August 2012)

The Tver Regional Museum was founded in 1866 and is now located in a former school building dating from the mid-19th century. It includes displays on the flora and fauna of the Tver Region, geographical history, ancient Tver and Tver during the times of the Russian empire, during the Napoleonic War and during the Second World War. The museum is run as part of the Tver State Unified Museum.
