The pretty Trinity Church at Kozhevniki was built between 1686 and 1689 as a traditional five-domed structure. In 1722 a bell tower was built onto the church. In the 1930s the church was closed and in 1980 construction work was carried out on it to convert it into a concert hall, although this project never saw fruition. Eventually in 1992 the building was returned to the Orthodox Church and restored.
