The Presnya Museum was founded in 1924 in the house where the first Presnensky Bolshevik Party Committee and Revolutionary-War Committee were located.  The museum details the district's role in the Revolution of 1905 and the February and October Revolutions of 1917 as well as the more recent 1991 coup attempt and the 1993 Russian constitutional crisis which unfolded at the nearby White House. The museum's main attraction is the impressive "Heroic Presnya. 1905" diorama which is over 200 square metres in size. The museum is run as a branch of the State Central Museum of Modern Russian History.
