The Kliment Timiryazev State Biological Museum was established in 1922 and has been located in the late-19th century building of the former Museum of Russian Antiquities since 1934.  The museum consists of 17 halls which have exhibitions on various biological aspects including man and nature, the animal and plant world, the theory of evolution, genetics and the underwater world.  There is free admission on the third Sunday of the month.
