Trinity Church at Khoroshyovo
The Trinity Church at Khoroshyovo was built between 1596 and 1598 on the orders of Tsar Boris Godunov in what was then the village of Khoroshyovo. The church was built using the Donskoy Monastery's Small Cathedral as an example, possibly under the supervision of the architect Fyodor Kon. It features a single central dome decorated with rows of kokoshniks. In the 19th century a bell tower and refectory were added. The church was closed in 1939 but restoration work was carried out in the 1960s and it was eventually reopened in the 1990s.
