Located in Festivalny Park is the large classical style Holy Spirit Church which dates from the 1780s. Previously the church was surrounded by the Lazarevskoe Cemetery which was opened in 1758 for the poor. The church was closed in 1932 and the cemetery met the same fate in 1936. The former cemetery was turned into a park, originally known as the Feliks Dzerzhinsky Park and then the Marina Roscha Park. The church was returned to the Orthodox Church in 1991.
