Moscow Nikulin Circus on Tsvetnoy Bulvar
The oldest and most popular circus in Moscow is the circus on Tsvetnoy Bulvar. It was first opened in 1880 featuring gymnasts, clowns and animals. One of the most famous actors and clowns to work at the circus was the clown and actor Yuri Nikulin who became the circus' director in 1982. The circus is now named in memory of Nikulin who died in 1997 and a statue of him has been placed outside.
