Nadezhda Krupskaya Monument
At the end of Sretensky Bulvar is a statue of a young Nadezhda Krupskaya. Krupskaya is most famous for being the wife of Vladimir Lenin, although she was in her own right a prominent figure in the Bolshevik movement and subsequently the deputy commissar for Education from 1929 to 1939. This monument to her was unveiled in 1979 and is framed by two 10 metre bronze pillars.
