Moscow Lights Museum
The Moscow Lights Museum was opened in 1980 and is dedicated to various forms of lights throughout the centuries. It includes metal instruments know as a svetets which were used for holding rushlights, oil and kerosene lamps and later examples of electric lamps. Both indoor lamps and street lighting are represented. The museum is popular with children who are allowed to handle several of the museum's items.
