Immediately behind the Mikhail Sholokhov monument is an art gallery which is one of several galleries run by the Moscow Museum of Modern Art which was established in 1999. The museum is located in a late-18th century estate house which once belonged to the Tsurikov-Naryshkin family. Various art exhibitions are held here as well as conferences on various themes.  There is free admission to the gallery on the third Sunday of the month.
