Vasili Pushkin House-Museum
The old yellow wooden house with nine windows on Ulitsa Staraya Basmannaya is where Vasili Pushkin lived between 1824 and 1824. Vasili Pushkin, although now more famous for being the uncle of Aleksandr Pushkin, was a poet and his most well-known work 'A Dangerous Neighbour' caused a sensation when it was released. The house has been closed for many years but was reopened as a museum - a branch of the Aleksandr Pushkin State Museum - in 2013. Admission to the museum is free on the third Sunday of the month.
