Yelabuga Bus Station
There is no railway station in Yelabuga, just a bus station. Yelabuga Bus Station is located in Verkhny Gorod, 2.5km from the city's main square of Ploschad Lenina. To get to the historical city from the bus station you can either walk or take any marshrutka running along Prospekt Neftyanikov (просп. Нефтяников). To get to Prospekt Neftyanikov just walk to the end of Ulitsa Stroiteley (ул. Строителей).

Begishevo Airport
Begishevo (Бегишево) Airport and is located in 40km from Yelabuga in between the cities of Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny. It is possible to taxi to Yelabuga from the airport.

Getting to/from Yelabuga
As with many Historical Cities, one the reasons Yelabuga has retained its historical feel is due to the relatively poor transport links. There is no railway station in the city, but Begishevo Airport is not too far away which serves flights from Moscow. In addition the city has relatively good links with Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny by bus. Also in Yelabuga is a quay for cruise ships.
From Moscow
Several airlines (Aeroflot, UTair and Ak Bars Aero) operate flights between Begishevo Airport and Moscow's Domodedovo, Sheremetievo or Vnukovo Airports. There are usually 5 flights a day in both directions and it takes about 2 hours. From the airport you would need to take a taxi to get to Yelabuga.
From Kazan
There are usually 3 direct buses a day in both directions between Kazan and Yelabuga. From Kazan they leave from Kazan's Central Bus Station. They take around 4 hours. Buses from Kazan to Naberezhnye Chelny pass via Yelabuga but do not enter the city. You can be dropped off at the junction into the city, but would have to walk the rest of the way or get a taxi.
From Naberezhnye Chelny
There are buses and minibuses which run between Yelabuga and Naberezhnye Chelny. No. 101 runs between Yelabuga Bus Station and Naberezhnye Bus Station (From Yelabuga: 06:00,10:00,12:30,14:50, 17:30,19:50. From Naberezhnye Chelny: 07:10; 11:10; 13:40; 16:00; 18:40; 21:05). No. 104 runs between Yelabuga's 4th Microdistrict and Naberezhnye Chelny's Complex 51 (From Yelabuga: 05:50; 06:30; 07:00; 07:20; 07:40; 11:10; 11:15; 11:30; 12:00; 12:20; 14:30; 15:20; 15:50; 16:50; 17:50. From Naberezhnye Chelny: 08:10; 08:40; 09:20; 09:35; 10:20; 12:15; 12:30; 13:45; 14:20; 15:00; 16:10; 16:50; 17:50; 18:30; 19:20). It take around 30 minutes.
