Saviour Cathedral
Yelabuga's main cathedral is the Saviour Cathedral, which was built between 1808 and 1816. The main building of the cathedral takes the form of a large cube topped with five green domes and attached to this via an unusually long vestibule is a 70-metre five-tier bell tower. The church was closed during the Soviet period, but has since been reopened. The exterior has been fully restored, but its interior still needs work. For a small donation you can walk up the bell tower to get great views of the whole of Yelabuga.
