In the centre of the square on the intersection of Prospekt Mira and Prospekt Neftyanikov, outside the city's Palace of Culture, is an unusual fountain featuring an worker in the oil industry. The worker is depicted breaking apart two rocks with his hands, thereby releasing the water. The choice of an oil worker is to symbolise Yelabuga's connection with the oil industry as the oil-producing company Prokamneft is based in the city.
