Ivan Pavlov's Memorial Estate-Museum (November 2011)

The great physiologist Ivan Pavlov was born in 1849 in Ryazan and the beloved estate where he lived until 1870 has been preserved as an estate-museum dedicated to him and his work. The estate-museum comprises two wings.

The first is the actual house where Ivan Pavlov was born and grew up. It is an excellent example of an in his famous experiments on conditioning and reflexes. There is also information on the places connected with Pavlov and the awards he won. The beautiful grounds of the estate are also open for visitors to walk around.

The second wing has displays on Pavlov's work. Here you will see stuffed dogs and a monkey which Pavlov used in his famous experiments on conditioning and reflexes. There is also information on the places connected with Pavlov and the awards he won.

The beautiful grounds of the estate are also open for visitors to walk around.
