Kolomna's memorial park is located on the site of a mass grave for soldiers who died on the front or in Kolomna's hospitals during the Second World War. An alley runs through it lined with busts of local war heroes. Other memorials are located in the park, including an eternal flame and monuments to grieving mothers, victims of unlawful political repression, victims of the Chernobyl and other nuclear disasters, and Kolomna's war dead from other wars and military conflicts.
