Located in a small park on Ulitsa Fridrikha Engelsa just before its crosses the River Uvod is a Second World War memorial and eternal flame dedicated to the heroes of the frontline and the home front. Standing on top of a tall pillar is a statue of a victorious solder holding a gun. Next to this at ground level are statues of two women representing the homefront. They are holding material which symbolises Ivanovo turning its textile industry over to military needs during the war.
