Bornay (Burnaevskaya) Mosque
The red-brick Bornay Mosque, also known as the Third Congressional Mosque, was built in 1872 on the site of an older wooden mosque and bears the name of the merchant who funded the project. In its design it comprises elements of ancient Tatar and Russian architecture. The most striking feature is its elaborate minaret which stands over the entrance.
