Standing at the crossroads of Prospekt Lenina and Ulitsa Gagarina is a statue of Yuri Gagarin.  The statue depicts the cosmonaut in a space suit.  Slightly further down Prospekt Lenina is a bust of the Soviet Union’s third cosmonaut - Andriyan Nikolaev, who was an ethnic Chuvash.
