The Chuvash National Museum was founded in 1921 and is the largest museum in the Republic of Chuvashia.  It details the history and culture of the Chuvash people and the Republic of Chuvashia.  The museum has sections dedicated to archaeology, ethnography, geology and nature, and includes displays of old books, coins and traditional Chuvash dress, embroidery and decorations.
