The literary Museum of the Voronezh Region, which is named after Ivan Nikitin, is located in what was once the city council building, which dates from the late 18th century and was the first three-storey building in Voronezh. Inside the museum has three permanent exhibitions dedicated to the poet Aleksey Koltsov and the authors Ivan Bunin and Andrey Platonov, all of whom were born in Voronezh.
