Voronezh's Literary Necropolis is a small cemetery which is all that remains of the Mitrofanovskoe Cemetery which was closed in the 1970s. The necropolis was kept to hold the remains of the poets Aleksey Koltsov (and his relations), Ivan Nikitin and Yelizaveta Militsyna. In 2009 the necropolis was renovated for the 200th anniversary of the birth of Aleksey Koltsov.
