Ploschad Pobedy (Victory Square is) is located off Prospect Revolyutsi and is a memorial complex to the defenders of Voronezh during the Second World War. It was opened in 1975 on the 30th anniversary of the end of the war. The main feature here is the monument comprising 13 figures representing soldiers, home guards, partisans and children. In addition there is also a 40 metre stela commemorating Voronezh being awarded the Order of the Patriotic War.
