Tula's Central Square is Ploschad Lenina (Lenin Square) which stands outside the kremlin in between Ulitsa Mendeleevskaya and Ulitsa Sovetskaya. It is here that the city's main events and celebrations are held and of course the square is decorated with a statue of Vladimir Lenin. Lenin stands in front of the massive Soviet-style Tula Region Administrative Building which is also locally known as the White House.
