On Ploschad Lenina (Lenin Square), where Prospekt Lenina branches off into Ulitsa Kirova and Ulitsa Bolshaya Serpukhovskaya, stands a standard Lenin Monument overlooking the busy intersection. Although there is a Lenin statue in most Russian cities, Lenin actually has a connection with Podolsk as he came the city at least twice to visit his family who lived there.
