The Regional Museum in Podolsk has exhibitions on the economic, social, political and cultural development of the city. It is located in what was once the Ivanovskoe Estate, and so is worth visiting for that reason alone. The estate's main house dates from the late 18th century when the estate was inherited by Count Fyodor Andreevich Tolstoy who redeveloped it. The house has views of the now overgrown gardens which run down to the River Pakhra.
