On Ulitsa Makarenko is a cemetery which has a pretty wooden church called the Our Lady of Smolensk Church. This church was rebuilt in 1997 to replace a brick version which once stood here until it was destroyed in 1948. Just next to the Our Lady of Smolensk Church is a second smaller wooden church dedicated to St Ksenia of Petersburg. This church was built between 1998 and 2000.
