Approximately a kilometre along Ulitsa Chekhova away from the railway station is a small square with two small parks on either side. In the centre of the square is a memorial to locals who fell in the Second World War. The simple memorial is in the form of an obelisk and stands in front of the Druzhba (Friendship) Cultural and Creative Centre.
