DESCRIPTION
Star City (Zvyozdny Gorodok) is a closed settlement in the Moscow Region where Russia's main cosmonaut Training Centre is located. Yury Gagarin - the first man in space - trained for his first flight here. As it is a strategic site for Russia you need special permission to access the territory of the settlement.
A tour lasts for 1.5-2 hours and includes visits to three sites of the centre - the simulator of the Mir space station, the CF-18 centrifuge and buoyancy simulator. That is an unique opportunity to visit a site which not even many Russians have seen and you might be lucky to see a real cosmonaut doing their daily training.
