DESCRIPTION
The Armoury Chamber - a museum treasure trove located in the Grand Kremlin Palace complex, which was built in 1851 by the architect Konstantin Ton. The Armoury Chamber is home to various ancient treasures of Russia, including thrones, crowns, coronation outfits, robes of the clergy, weapons and chariots, as well as thousands of pieces of priceless items of gold and silver made by Russian masters.
During an excursion to the Armoury Chamber you will see the following sights:
- The shrine covers of Tsarevich Dmitri and St Cyril (Kirill) of Belozersk
- Collection of Faberge eggs.
- The helmet of Grand Prince Yaroslav Vsevolodovich of Vladimir
- Peter the Great's boots and various coronation outfits.
- The double throne of Tsar Ivan V and Peter the Great
- The Monomakh Crown
