This church, dedicated both to St Elijah the Prophet and the Resurrection of Christ was completed in 1768 replacing an earlier wooden version. In form it is the standard octagon-on-cube design with a single large dome. In 1926 the church was closed and subsequently used as an archive. In the 1950s its bell tower was demolished. It was returned to the Orthodox Church in 1995.
