Borisoglebsky

The main reason to visit the small provincial town of Borisoglebsky is to see its magnificent monastery, which is one of the best preserved examples of a fortified monastery in Russia. The monastery is dedicated to Russia's first native saints, Boris and Gleb, from which the name Borisoglebsky is derived. You can easily visit as a trip from Rostov Veliky.
