Immediately next to the Dormition Cathedral is the Epiphany Cathedral. It was built between 1782 and 1787 to replace an earlier wooden version and to serve as a winter (ie heated) church for the summer Dormition Cathedral. The Epiphany Cathedral is decorated in the same colour as its much larger neighbour creating a harmonious church ensemble.
