Located just in front of the Grand Ascension Church is an unusual monument which features a rotunda and a fountain. Inside the rotunda there are small statues of Aleksandr Pushkin and Natalia Goncharova, who married in the neighbouring Grand Ascension Church on 18 November 1831.  The monument was unveiled in 1999 on the 200th anniversary of the birth of Pushkin.
