A four-hour city tour around Kazan is an excellent opportunity to see all the main sights of the Tatar capital in one excursion. A professional guide will tell you about Kazan, its history and the customs and language of the Tatars. You will also see the sporting facilities built for the 2013 Universiade.

  • Staraya Tatarskaya Sloboda - one of the oldest districts in Kazan where many historical buildings have been preserved and practically each of them are connected with a figure of Tatar culture.
  • Ulitsa Baumana - Kazan's main pedestrian zone
  • Bogoroditsky Monastery - where the Vatican copy of the Our Lady of Kazan Icon is held.
  • Ss Peter and Paul's Church - one of the most beautiful churches in Tatarstan and perhaps even Russia with unusual decorations and mouldings.
  • Kazan Registry Office - in the form of a giant Kazan cauldron.
  • Kazan-Arena stadium - built for the 2013 Summer Universiade.

  •  Clothes:  during this excursion you will visit some religious sites and need to dress appropriately - women must wear a headscarf and a long dress, men must wear trousers in Orthodox places.
